Recommendations for Yamaha amp for my T-85 tuner?

Hi guys... I have a Yamaha T-85 tuner which I love, and I'd like to get your recommendation for a good Yamaha integrated amplifier that would pair well with it. My speakers are Athena AS-F2s.

I can't blow a fortune on the amp, but if you can recommend anything I can pick up reasonably, I'm all ears. I'm also open to the idea of a nice Yamaha receiver serving as the amp.

I've been running the T85 off an Onkyo T4500, and I like it alot, but I'm curious to hear what it would sound like with someone from its own family.

;) ok, let's say AX-2000. And the A-1 will still be faster to get.

Well ok, lets get the price down a bit. There is a "I can pick up reasonably" thing. So AX-2000, A-2000 C-85, M-85 is out of the game and maybe also the A-1.

But look at the C-60/65 and M-60/65, M-40. Or maybe criss cross a bit and look a an M-4 combined with a C-60/65, the C-2 can also be interesting if you don't run much vinyl.

Integrated, A-1060, A-1000 and other top integreted models from Yamaha.

Thanks for the advice, guys! My main interest in sound, and then aesthetics come second. I suppose as long as the amp is black, it will satisfy my tastes.

The interconnection parameters of normally designed tuners and amps are standardized, they do not depend on each other and must not “pair” with each other. Mfrs’ labels don’t matter. A customer chooses freely the one he prefers.

Loudspeakers should match power amps (integrated or separate) by the nominal load impedance (your Athena AS-F2s are 8 Ohms, aren’t they) and approximately by their nominal power/channel.

An acceptable “final” sound spectrum at a listening place in a room can, anyway, be obtained only by means of a graphic equalizer (having the “lowest” slider at not higher than 31 Hz), due to very irregular acoustic reactions of different rooms.
 
I had that tuner and it's one that I regret selling, what a great sounding tuner that can take a weak signal and make it quiet
