Hi guys,
picked up a Yamaha B-2 Power Amp on the weekend,
in pretty good shape. :D
Now Before I go and use it on a Daily Basis, can anybody let me know what I should be doing to it before this?
Things to look for, common faults, whatever general info you may have will be great.
As I know there are a few Akers that have these old heavy girls.

Thanks in Advance, Pics coming shortly.

Cheers! :thmbsp:

Lucky you!

Do an AK search and you'll find a wealth of info on the B-2.

Welcome to the V-FET club.

First thing is to check the speaker outputs so you don't fry you're speakers, make sure the outputs are switched on. Do as mentioned in the DC offset thread (Sticky).

I tend toward the hook it up and plug it in school.
It'll either work or fail.
One Amazing amp.
I'd like to get another and use them as monoblocks.
Mine took a month to settle down. After that, the B-2 sounds like the components which preceed it.If you don't like it's sound blame the source components or the preamp, because the the only objectional thing the B-2 does is tell the truth.
You'll either 'get-it' and love the amp,or dislike how well it exposes the preceeding components. The B-2 is a clean window.

PM me with your e-mail address if you would like a copy of the SM and other bits of info. The B-2 is an OK amp......I guess.
