Yamaha B-2x & C-2x on AudiogoN

Never heard of the B-2x, B-2 yes. Whats the difference? I have a C-2a which I like a lot. I know there's also a C-2 as well as the C-2x. I think the C-2a was produced between the C-2 and C-2x but I'm not sure. Anyone know the differences between these nearly identical looking pieces?
The B-2 is a 100wpc VFET design, and is a wonderful sounding amp. The B-2x is 170wpc and IMO has the sound quality of the B-2. The B-2 does not like to drive low ohm loads. The B-2x is capable of driving 2 ohm loads.
The C-2x is the final version of the C-2 line of preamps, and is considered the best of that line.

I'm listening to Dark Side of the Moon at the moment with C-2x/B-2 combo through some modded La Scalas.
I'll report back with my opinion of B-2 vs. B-2x. I'm not expecting the B-2x to be as buttery and tube like in the upper end as the Vfets, but the C-2x and T-2x were lonely, so...

And I as well! It's a great amp from what I've read, though Yammie stuff is very confusing to me. Seems my 800U is a spin off of your B-2x, all I know is I really like it, regardless of specs and whatnot!

A-gon seller was a great guy. Says he double boxed it well. 70lbs shipping weight.
The B-2x is a sibling to the A-2000 which Glenn (Yamaha B-2) Davis owns. The A-2000 is an integrated version with slightly less rated output (150wpc). It was introduced to mate with the NS-2000. Glenn is very happy with his, and as you know also owns B-2s. I don't know what happened to him on this forum, but he was a wealth of info, manuals and schematics when it came to the old Yammy stuff. He's helped me out on different occasions.
I thought I'd get at least one Yamaha power amp that still has the ability of getting repaired if necessary. Those vfets are getting scarce. Although in the 18 years I've owned a B-2, I haven't needed service.
On a side note, am I the only guy the owns/has owned the T-2x tuner? Almost nothing is written about it, and it remains a mystery to most Yamaha nuts. It's not like my T-1 or T-2; its an upgraded version of the T-85 which is hot with the DX'ers. It's not as pretty or nostalgic as the analog versions, but it pulls in stations well, and is dead quiet.
BTW the C-2x sold for $400. That is a steal.
