How deep is this rabbit hole?
I just debated for hours between the C-70 preamp and the C-80. I opted for the C-80 and am hoping I made the right decision. Im a strictly vinyl guy, so the Direct Disc phono deal on the C-70 really had my interest, but I figured the C-80 had to be the better of the two. Any input? Its not too late for me to change my mind.
But the C-80/85 costs a lot less to refresh and the continuous variable loudness is a nice feature.IMHO the C-70 has a better sounding phono. But also has some problematic relays that will run close to a benjamin to replace all eight with new relays.And another $80 for a SW-503 switch upgrade.
