Working on a lovely little Yamaha CA-400 Amplifier.

The Service Manual (THANK YOU, AK Database Contributors!) at ‘Adjustments’ reads in part, “During adjustment be sure to short the main amp circuit board input terminals…”. Why? How best to do so? The CA-400 has rear panel Pre-Out jacks...

{Heading out for a Christmas/ Holiday Dinner, so apologies for the 'post and run'}

If you can dig up a set of phono shorting plugs..Place input selector switch to AUX and short the AUX input jacks with the shorting plugs.

Thank you, Avionic.

The amplifier came with the original ('Phono 2') shorting plugs, so I'll use them...

Happy Holidays!
