Just got my new (to me) Yamaha CD-530, Hooked it up and it plays fantastic. There was alittle shipping damage to the box and one corner of the top cover but its just bent a little and easily fixable. Played COLD PLAY, Muse, Sara Evans,and Diana Krall and they all sounded great. I did notice (even on my other cd players) that certain cd's play louder and have more spaciousness than some of my older cd's.

Here's a pix of the damage - not much - just bent the top cover a little but is easy to fix.

It's a shame it got bent in shipping. I have a couple of Yamaha CD players and like the sound of both of them.
 
Yeah - but luckly it is an easy fix. Love the sound of it. Plays great amd sounds fantastic.
Love the sound of the Yamaha stuff. When I put in pure direct with the MUSE cd its amazing. ..

CDX-530 maybe? I sold many of those back in the day, you are right they are nice sounding players. Enjoy!
