Yamaha CD-S300 vs. Marantz CD5001

Hi everyone, I currently own a used Marantz CD5001 CD player and am thinking about replacing it with a used, perfect condition Yahama CD-S300 for $110. Any thoughts on whether the Yamaha would be any kind of meaningful step up in quality?

I have the CD-S300 in silver and it looks stunning and sounds fine to me. Can't comment on the Marantz CD5001 however.

One thing that is bothering me about the CD-S300 is that it seems slow. Slow to open the door (come on, hurry up!), slow to start playing, slow to seek.
