I would like to find an alternate way to connect a Bose 901 equalizer to my CR-2020. I normally run HPM-100s as my main speakers, but when I need to fill the room, I use the Bose 901 IVs. The 901s are connected to the B speaker outputs and the equalizer is routed through the pre-out/in connections and this works well. I don't even have to disconnect the equalizer when I use the HPMs because of the pre-out/in defeat switch. However, I want to use my pre in connections for another purpose.
Do any of you know a way to connect the equalizer through one of the tape loops? It would be simple on other receivers but the CR-2020 doesn't have a "tape monitor" button. It has separate controls for selecting recording source input and listening source out put. If I connect the equalizer to tape 1 in and out I end up with no source. The permutations of the selector/connector choices are many.
