Yamaha CR 3020 - Long Beach

Someone else had posted this in the wrong forum earlier... Looks like the post got removed and not re-located... so I'll re-post it.

CR 3020 on Ebay - with box! - should be interesting to see what it goes for. Any predictions? I'll start... $1500, plus shipping. It looks like a beaut.

Another one with the serial number between 1000 and 3000. My theory is not yet dis-proven. (2000 units built)

That is a pretty lovely piece. I'd sure take it for the current highest bid of $163 :) too bad there's 6 1/2 days left for bidding.
 
Ah, the elusive CR-3020. Definitely a nice piece that I will "never" own. Few of them around, and the bidding usually goes off the charts.

But one can still be "envious"...no?

He sounds like he does NOT want to ship it... Dont know if that will keep the bids down or not.....Prob Not! Im not a Yammie fan but i would want that one in my collection.
 
Yoowza! I live near Long Beach, but I am not considering bidding for the following reasons:
1) Ebay - this thing will fetch 500 times what I could bid
2) I don't do Paypal or ebay
3) Mostly because I already have a CR-2020 which is heavy enough. This thing must be 70 lb at the minimum and I'm tired of trying to lift delicate gear that heavy with any dexterity.:no:
While not much different than a 2020 or 2010 except in power and number made, I'll tell this though, that is one beauty of a reciever! I hope a deserving person picks it up.:thmbsp:

Anubis, you are correct, the 2020 sounds every bit as good as the 3020, if not better. The 3020 weighs more than 70 pounds, which is not a good achievement considering it is single transformer and only 170 watts per channel. When I had one, it was nice to own but not really that nice to listen to.
 
i wanted it. saw that it was cheap (20 bucks). thought no one was watching it.
came home today and saw the current price :tears::tears::tears:

oh the horror.

Ah-hem. :nono:

Mine sounds Awesome. Significantly nicer than the rest of the CR n20 line... and I have most of them. (just missing the little guys)

I would describe it as effortless in comparison to other receivers.

You can't have mine for any price. I have both the CR2020 and CR-3020 and while the CR2020 is damn good, the CR-3020 is bloody mahvelous.:music:

I am surprised to hear this as I would think it would be a very nice sounding receiver. I guess everyone has different ears and opinions.
 
2 days to go...

I wonder if another one for $1050 on CL in the SF Bay area has caused the eBay bidding to stall at $1425??

2nd one was listed on May 5, last bid on eBay was the same day. Hmm.
