Hi,
l'm new to AK and as green as grass when it comes to the technical aspects of audio electronics.
l have a pristine looking Yamaha CR-800 but a few months ago after moving house the FM stereo and AFC/Station LED's became intermittent and now rarely come on if at all. The receiver will now only tune into 2 local strong FM stations, and then only when l plug the Yam into the roof mounted TV antenna.
The AM tuner still works OK on the Ferrite antenna.
Its not that l live in a valley, my new place has clear uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside and city.
l don't have a proper FM antenna but my Pioneer TX-930L tuner has no problem locating all local and national FM stations on a small indoor UHF/FM antenna
l just don't know what is wrong or what to do, any help will be greatly appreciated.
