Yamaha CR Top three..1020/2020/3020

With my recent purchase of the CR 3020 I thought I'd share and show these beautifully designed receivers together in one shot:yes: The CR 1020 & 2020 are large silver face and wood box marvels but appear "Small" in comparison to the 3020. I was like wow! This thing truly is big and I can see why many folks passed on them and the reason not many built.The CR 3020 eats up a lot of space on any surface.

I have the pleasure of owning two CR 2020's ( The one not in this picture is hooked up in my bedroom). Included here are the top three of this fine series of CR xx20 Yamaha receivers.

Beautiful collection! I knew the 3020 was big, but not this huge. The 1020 is not a small receiver itself..

I really think yamaha made the best looking gear. No flashy colors or lights. Understated classy looks.

What speakers are you using with each?

I have a CR-1020 and CR-2020.

I have (and have had) some large receivers.

That CR-3020 is a brute!

It was a big surprise when stacking them how much larger the CR 3020 footprint was over the rather large CR 2020/1020:yes: I have the 3020 paired with some Paradigm 7se for now with a bedroom set up CR 2020 and New Large Advents The CR 1020 & second 2020 are not in the rotating:thmbsp:

Thanks for the compliment:thmbsp: I thought it would be fun showing the three together once I was able to get to them. I live in Tucson like you but my job has me working up in Parker Arizona so getting back home is a four hr commute.

:thmbsp: Hey it happened to me! I took a shot by typing it in a Google search "CR 3020 for sale" And one showed up in Las Vegas:yes: I literally stumbled across it on a hunch. So it can happen for you

Very cool, beautiful receivers. Now the OCD in me needs you to slide the top one over so it is perfectly even, take another pic and post it so I can sleep tonight.

It was a struggle placing the last one on top, They are heavy receivers and like you I wanted them to line up front & center but didn't notice the slightly "Off" center 1020 until later when back in their perspective spots:yes:

And as big as it is, there's no empty space in the CR-3020. The power supply is massive.
