Yamaha cr600 pre amp

Hullo everyone...

I currently own a Yamaha cr600 and Sansui AUD33. Both sound really musical through my Monitor Audio MA4's.

I'm a novice when I comes to all things hi-fi...I'd like to link up the Yamaha pre amp to my sansui to see how this sounds. Can anyone advise how this is done? From my understanding I link the yammy pre amp out into the aux on the sansui? Connect my source to that Yamaha aux? If this if correct then the tone controls would be still working on the sansui right? I assumed that all the tone controls should be using the pre amp though...any help and opinions would be lovely.

If you do that, signal will be going thru both the Yamaha and Sansui preamp sections. Not the best arrangement for fidelity. The Sansui does not have a direct connection to its power amp section.
