Yamaha CT-600 Electrolytic Caps

Electrolytic caps in the power supply and function board all measure greater than 20% over or under value. The exception is the 3.3uF caps, they measure per spec. These are all easy enough to replace, but my concern is the Tuner Board is also loaded with electrolytic caps, if I start pulling those and replace, will the tuning for AM/FM change enough to need calibration? The unit does presently receive AM/FM stations.

While searching for Yamaha tuner alignment info, I see no one has answered this question. If you change ONLY the electrolytic caps with correct value, high quality replacements, it should not affect the alignment. Most electrolytic caps are designed to stay within a +/-20% tolerance, so there is a wide margin to play with that pretty much all replacement caps should fall well within. Only thing to watch out for is bipolar and low leakage caps, which should be replaced with another bipolar or low leakage.
