Yamaha EQ-70 Equalizer won't power ON

Just recently I bought this Yamaha EQ-70 Equalizer without power cable from local seller. The seller mentioned it is working, however after fix in power cable and upon plugging it into the wall the Equalizer wouldn't power up.

Any advice to troubleshoot would be greatly appreciated

First download the service manual from hifiengine, need to register, it's safe, no spam.
Schematic does not show a fuse so maybe a faulty power switch. A good starting
point would be to check the power supply, mesure dc voltage at R3 to ground, repeat
for R4 to ground, expect +/-18.9Vdc.

Maybe first do a visual inspection for any damaged parts.
Also do not assume no power just because the lights are out

Mine is dual voltage maybe check if yours happens to be dual voltage make sure its in correct posiotion.

Normally when someone cuts a cord to a unit there's a reason.....I wouldn't have believed the seller for a second.

Check the voltage like mbz said. A picture isn't very helpful in this case.
