Have any current/previous owners of the Yamaha GT-2000 (or later ‘L’ and ‘X’ variants) ever mounted the 64s on it? This is a combo I’m interested in for my rig but wanted to know how easy/difficult the setup would be. Would it require an external base, arm elevation and spacers? Is there anyone in the US who still specializes in such setups?

With something like this adapter you could measure the table for spindle to pivot distance to see of the standard FR-64s will fit. The FR with the B-60 Elevation base or N-60, Big Honking Nut (part of the B-60 kit) might mean some adaptation to get the nut to fit. The adapter is from a bay ad, other pic shows the bottom side of this arm board which has a lip on one side making fitting the big nut questionable.
Should be easy enough to make one out of interesting materials.

Welcome to ak. Reading through your posts your are on the steep part of the learning curve. Some stores have folks that can put together a turntable/tonearm/cartridge combination and make it sing. Most that have these record playback systems do the assembly and set up themselves with the vintage gear you mention. Some will help or do it for locals for a fair price.
I haven’t looked at the Hana you might get but the FR-64s is a very high mass tonearm at about 34 grams effective mass. You need a low compliance cartridge to match up well with this arm.
Just post questions and comments if you need to learn more. The FR is a very nice tonearm but being so heavy is a bit limited just as the SME 3009 arm is because it is so light with arms at 5.0, 6.5, 9.5 and a mid mass 12.5 grams for the 4 popular vintage arms.
