yamaha m-60 amplifier stopped powering up after cover removed, is there a reset switch?!?

I had this happen with a marantz model 18 that when I removed the cover, it switched the unit off and had to be manually reset. I removed the cover to take a look at the condition of the inside of this m-60, wiped off a little dust and replaced the cover. thats it. now the amp won't power up at all. could this be a fuse? It was powering up fine before and the protection light wasn't on so there was no indicator that anything was amiss. any help would be tremendously helpful!

It would appear you may have disturbed something while dusting. How vigorous were you with the dusting?

Don't just go for a fuse, there is always a reason a fuse blows and replacing it doesn't find the root cause and may result in additional damage.

Do you have basic electronic fault finding skills?

Start by troubleshooting with the service manual. It's available at hifiengine. Just make a free account to download.
