Yamaha M70 Class A?

am I right in thinking your SANKEN MT-200 comment was in reference to the M-80?

M-80 & M-85 all have the SANKEN MT-200 outputs. The B-6 and CR-2040 have the TOSHIBA MT-200 case. M-70 uses the MT-200 SANKENS for rail switching.

It sounds like I would be better off with an M-65 or an M-4. It is interesting that you have both and it sounds like you like them both about the same but they have a different sound. Is that accurate? How does the imaging compare between them?

I do like them both. I think the M-4 was a bit more two-dimensional, and the details less precise, than the M65. I drove both of the amps with my Nakamichi CA7.
