The above Mic came with my Eq, has the spectrum analyzer,
anyway, it has the battery which I neglected to take out.
So am I correct in the assumption that the single AA battery is inline with the actual mic element?
A wire goes from mic element to the battery +, and a single wire runs past to the - end but I believe was connected to the center wire of the plug, leaving the braid to go to the battery -. Correct?
I was gonna try using it as a general announcement mic on a small mixer w mic input,
but my foggy memory reminds me that there are ceramic mics vs dynamic, which IIRC equates to powered and unpowered.
Give me a refresher course. This mic may be unsuitable for voice over P.A. but i'll fix it anyway,
perhaps recommend a decent mic for occasional announcements over a P.A. via a Numark M2 mixer.
