Yamaha Network Player Controller App

Has anyone used this app?

It is for the Yamaha R-N500 & R-N301 network stereo receivers.

I am particularly interested in its Pandora and Spotify operation. Do you have station selection and thumbs up/down?

I’ve only just done a search for this subject. I was using the app with my Yamaha CD - N301 CD/network player. I was getting loads more internet radio jazz stations than with the service on the player. In fact I was getting tired going down the list which didn’t seem to end. It was working great until I just had to bugger it all up by clicking on something about MAC address filter. Now it is locked up! I’ve tried everything I can think of. It gives the message “check MAC address filter”. How? On what? The player only shows me the player’s MAC address which the app refuses to accept the input of. I see nothing on either app nor player to turn off or on any MAC address filter. I tried deleting and re-downloading the app and I’ve tried turning off the player and removing the plug for about an hour but that didn’t help. I’ve emailed Yamaha for help to solve this but I hope it’s not going to be some complicated sequence of steps that frustrates me further.
