Yamaha new high end

[Yamahaha]

No I dont work for Yamaha or sell anything. I've enjoyed my Yamaha A-S2100 for many years and was checking on the new line to see whats up and https://ca.yamaha.com/en/products/contents/audio_visual/flagship_hifi_5000/index.html

Almost crapped myself. All the old stuff being made again? Perhaps old news but new to this old guy and I'm loving this.

A high degree of lust from my side. Had a good (30min) listen at recent hi-fi show, wanting it to sound as good as it looked, sadly a little disappointed. Certainly the listening room was less than ideal. The asking $$$$$ is a concern. For the time being I can only afford vintage but ok to dream once in a while...

Yamaha is what I prefer but have never heard this level of it.I'd like to so I can make my own conclusion.I don't think I would be disappointed.I've been to a few high end audio shows in the past fifteen years but there was never a Yamaha presence.

Yes, those have been linked and discussed on ak for a few years. Nice build, be nice if they sounded as good as the price or better.

A Yamaha 100 watt amp for $10,000 US. Yikes! I think there are other choices out there for that kind of money.
