Yamaha NS-1000 (m) Tweeter volume question

How much volume does one hear from the tweeter in comparison to the mid? If I dial back the mid and turn up the tweeter...Yes there is a deviation in volume but it all seems low to me.? When the mid is dialed back to "normal...seems like I'm hearing both....

Any one have experience with trouble shooting possible issues with tweeter? or know of a common issue

Measure how much resistance there is in the lpads. Maybe one lpad is higher resistance than the other. You should be able to do a sweep and get an idea as to the range of attentuation the lpads give you.

Try bypassing the lpads. Any time I have lpad issues, I bypass. I have never been unhappy with the outcome. In fact, I like the outcome of bypassed lpads better than what functional lpads offer.
 
The lpads attenuate the mid and tweeter.

I have never tried to do a sweep of an lpad in circuit. Probably best to remove them as easy as it is. You can test them, clean them with deoxit (likely to need it) and/or bypass.
 
Probably Just your hearing, I am 50 an can only hear up to a little under 12k hz now. Sometimes tweeters are hard to hear well up close but when I step away some, I can hear they are in fact working. my two cents
