Refinishing the aluminium surfaces on all drivers. Repainted the metallic screens of the bass drivers. What a huge difference!

I wonder if a coat of Visaton LTS-50 will do more good or, by contrary, should I leave the cones of the bass drivers as they are?
I do not know what the Japanese from Kenrick Sound use in term of coating substance, but I would really like to know:

Anyone used this for a paper cone with improvements?

The first mid range is cleaner (a lot of dust/dirt....:scratch2. Seems like some signs of dirt will not go out. I uses baby wipes and even dish detergent for the beryllium dome. Other suggestions to remove the non removable marks (see last pictures)?

Try and dislodge the dirt with a very soft brush like those used in cosmetics? Brush lightly and wipe with a dry cloth.

I would like to second KrautNotRice comment did you use something like mothers aluminum polish or some other metal polish?

The enclosures will be refurbished. At this moment, the old black veneer is removed and a new one is expected to be applied in a couple of days (see attached photos).
I gave the two enclosures to a good friend of mine which works in the wood/furniture business. So, in this respect I'm confident he will make a good job on these babies. I'm very keen to see the end result.

I would have been very tempted to leave the cabs as pictured in post 2#,
with that shabby vintage beige brown worn patina.
Of course,they may look very different on location,for all I know.

I am currently restoring a pair of Dynaco A-40 XL and I was thinking too to apply that black ink shown in the video. I took a screen shot of a video of a restoration work from Kenrick Sound of a pair of Scan-Dyna. I would really like to know as well what this stuff is.

For the aluminum surfaces of the drivers (the visible ones from the front of the speakers) I just used the finest sandpaper I could find. Nothing else.
