yamaha ns-70 speakers

Hi everyone.
I have the opportunity to buy a set of yamaha ns-70 speakers for $75.
There is no T on the end of the speaker name. The seller has photographed the ID tag on the rear of the speaker it definitely has no "t" at the end.

I cannot find anything on line about them, only references to Yamaha ns -70t speakers.

Are the two speakers the same?
Are the yamaha ns-70 speakers any good.

I can post a link to the site where they are for sale if this is OK(?)

Well, I don't know the speaker myself but I found a manual online for the NS-70 (no T), here are the spesc listed...

Thanks for the welcome and those links bratwurst7s. I saw one audiokarma post that the T stood for titanium tweeter(??)
I could not find anything on the web in regards to Yamaha ns-70.

People might be able to let me know if they look to be the same as the Yamaha ns-70T speakers other than the titanium (Tweeter???) part.

Any more opinions most welcome.

At $75 they are probably far better than my
Sony SS MF 400H speakers which are playing courtesy of my V361 Yamaha amp.

I'm a big fan of Yamaha amps but have never heard any of their speakers. So I can only offer the opinion that from looking at the specs and drivers (!) I would guess that yes, the NS-70 would be a good step up, But in my opinion that's a pretty usless opinion without having heard both types of speakers.

Note that if we get into opinions on dollar values of anything this thread will get moved to the Dollars and Sense forum.

I think I might take a punt and get them.

Generally not seeing rave reviews on yamaha speakers but the reviews on these (with the T on the end at least seem OK)

Hope the drivers are the same.

If anyone's ever heard these fell free to chip in with an opinion on sound quality.

Sold those new. Yamaha made a few unbelievably good speakers, NS1000, NS10, NS6690, etc.

Nothing wrong with NS70's but nothing spectacular either. You didn't miss anything.

Thanks. I could not find anything on line about them at all. There's two opinions here now which may turn up in a search.
