I recently got my hands on a Yamaha P-450 as a result of an impulse purchase. It’s a belt driven FG servo turntable, but I’m having issues locking down the speed. No matter what I do I always get the speed creeping a bit too fast or too slow. On top of that when I look at the strobe it seems like every one spin it has this “wavering” back and forth going on. I made a video of what I mean here: https://youtube.com/shorts/Owp6HSM0Nmo?feature=share
I also have another FG servo turntable, but it’s direct drive and is rock solid with the speed. I already cleaned out the pot with some contact cleaner which usually does the trick, but it didn’t do anything here. I also oiled the motor just in case. Anyone know what this behavior is and how to solve it?
