Yamaha repair in Central Florida?

Previously used Merrylander-Robert to work on my gear, last time about 8 years ago but he is apparently retired.

I have contacted 'Avionic' as he comes highly recommended but in case he is too backed up with gear or for any reason says no, any recommendation for a Yamaha expert that can work on vintage gear in Central Florida area?

Thank you all in advance for any help.

I had the same problem ... no good techs, or they were backed up... or too expensive... so I took a look in the mirror, hired a couple assistants named Google and AK, bought a few key tools and bingo, I do my own work. Very satisfying too!

+1 on doing it yourself. It's really not that hard and if you do run into problems the great guys here on AK are always willing to help.:thmbsp:

I'll be sending to avionic when he has his bench cleared. I posted this request before I spoke with him today. And yes, it is a CR-2040. I would still like a contact locally as a back up plan. So if anyone knows, that would be great. I am not going to get into what I would call advanced repairs of power supply issue with protection circuits etc. I would rather have someone that I trust do it right, the first time. As opposed to me blowing the unit up entirely. Bulbs and dexiot are one thing, I can handle that. High voltage is another!

I highly recommend Audio Laboratory on Henderson in Tampa.

Ted is reliable, honest and does fantastic work.
