Yamaha Rs 700 verses Rotel Rx 1052

I have A Rotel Rx 1052 stereo receiver I would like to buy another one but since they don't make them anymore I'm forced to make another choice, right now I am leaning toward the Yamaha Rs 700, it seems to be the only receiver close to what the Rx is. Am I making a mistake going for the Yamaha? Is the sound of the Yamaha comparable to the Rotel or am I making a mistake.
