Yamaha rs300

My Pioneer sx650's power/speaker selector switch is acting up and causing the right channel to drop in and out. Kinda sick of the vintage stuff as this is the second vintage receiver to go bad. Would I be as satisfied with a new Yamaha rs300 or get the Pioneer fixed?

Wouldn't really consider a dirty switch in a 40 year old receiver going bad. Have you tried using the B speaker connectors to see if the contacts are better than A? Have you tried DeOxing the switches? If this receiver has a speaker protection relay, maybe it has bad contacts in it. This is also a common problem.

I would definitely keep the Pioneer or at least pas it on to someone who does want it.

Deoxit twice. Worked on b for awhile after a gave out, same thing just happened on b. Read on here about a problem with the power switch/speaker selector switch.
