yamaha rx-500 receiver no sound?

I have a yamaha rx-500 receiver that does not work. Initially the relay didn't click in, I noticed there was quite a bit of corrosion around the filter caps and transistors so I took all those off, cleaned the area, restored some of the connections and tested for shorts on the transistors. All seemed fine so I reassambled and now the relay does click but there is no sound output, only a low volume buzz (that doesn't change volume even when adjusting the volume knob). I do hear some crackling noise (like how a dirty switch should sound) when pressing the speaker buttons but it's low volume and also does not change in volume no matter the position of the volume knob. Any tips on what to try now?

A guess would be a power supply issue probably to the preamp. I'll try and find the sm and get some test points.
Certainly dirty switches are a issue in vintage. Work all switches several times while playing audio, any change indicates problemtic switch.
I assume Tape Monitor switch is set to source.
 
The input selection is done with IC's so if power to the IC's is interrupted then no audio...
Check +/-12Vdc supply at Q402 emitter (+12) and Q403 emitter (-12V)

Q402c should be about +17V and Q403c about -18Vdc
