yamaha rx-530 and m-60

*NOTE* - I put M-60 in the thread title and it should be M-65. I can't see how to change it so, just know before commenting.....

Does anyone know if the RX-530 can be hooked up as a controller amp for the M-65? If so how is it done?

Thanks in advance!
Mike

Btw, inside it's power class and price point the RX-530 is a nice little receiver. I bought one last year, recapped it and donated it to the break room where I work. But imho you will get much better sound out of your M65 with a real pre-amp than with the pre-section of an integrated.

Thanks so much guys! I'm still picking up the RX-530. Hard to sneeze at it since it's only $15! When I find one with the pre-outs, I'll pass it to my son who wants to build a component system too.

Are there any models I should keep an eye out for in particular?

C-60/65 matched with the M-60/65 will sound better than any receiver. Hands down in MHO.

I agree, the C-60/65 match is nice. If you can find a C-80/85 then it gets even nicer. I ran that set up for quite a while and would definitely recommend it.

Using and C-70,80 or 85 and another M-60. You can bridge the M-60's.. Twice the power at least.
