Yamaha RX-V1050 Display Issues

So I picked up a non-functioning Yamaha RX-V1050 receiver for dirt cheap. Typical shutoff after 3 seconds of power. After isolating the problem to the right channel and temporarily disabling it, I now have the receiver staying on. However, I notice the bottom half of the LED display will slowly grown dim and and "die out" as it gets warmed up, where the top half stays visible. The factory incandescent bulb is still bright, so i think we are good there.

Should I be trying to diagnose a faulty display, or do you think there could be more going on with the signal from the input board? I did the "wiggle" test, flexing the solder joints from the display to the display board, and there was no change.

The right channel has (at least) both blown power transistors and 2 blown fusible resistors, so I am on the fence of sinking too much money into this project.

Thanks in advance!
