Looks like NS 690 MK I , GO!!!

Thanks Balifly, I thought they looked like the NS series but wasn't sure. I have all ready texted and left a message with the seller saying I would buy them. Still early here on The Left Coast so we will see.

I can't say that they would keep up with JBL L300's but the 690's sound very good. Heck, even 670's (smaller woofer) would be a bargain at that price. A good flip if nothing else. Call now! I paid $40 for a pair of NS-690IIs that ended up in my mom's stereo. One mid was burned, but even considering the time for repairs they were still a very very good deal IMO. No Be tweeter in these ones, but the highs still sparkle nicely.

The guy confirmed that they are 690's but did not mentioned 690 II's. Is there a difference between the two?

$60.00 is an insanely good price for those....ridiculous....these will smoke so many other other speakers including many of the more famed JBL's Don't let cheapo AKers and their tales of low dollar scores dissuade you from buying these right now.

I have been trying to hook up with the seller but or schedules have not come together as yet. Tonight was my granddaughter's 8th grade graduation and he had a function as well. Maybe tomorrow will be the day?:dunno:

Jenkster Should I say congratulations!!! I was on craiglist about the time he posted but I sent an e-mail. He responded with the model ## but I did not get back on until later that night to accept (thought they would go well with a yamaha 2040). Let me know how they sound or better yet invite me over to have a listen.
