Yamaha T-1 adjustment expertise needed

Hello Yamaha tuner experts!

I have just acquired my T-1 dream tuner. However I can not get the pointer to align correctly at ends of the tuning dial. Specifically if I set the pointer dead on at 89.9 using the FM Local Osc adj, then for 106.9 the pointer is at 107.1.

I can live with it but I thought there was a way to align the point separately for the lower frequencies and another for the higher frequencies.

Attached is a nude pic of the T-1 and a few pages from the service manual dealing with FM adjustments.

That alignment procedure is a joke for local osc. adjustment. Here's where you adjust.
