Yamaha TC-511S help!

Hi all,

I had some great advice getting my recently purchased Yam CR-800 up and running on here, so here goes.

I saw a matching tape deck, TC-511S on ebay for a steal, so bought it. BUT it will only run the motor for about 3-5 seconds before releasing/stopping.

Everything engages, all powers up, all lamps work etc so what's the genius advice on here, where do I start?!

Even if I can't get it working properly, it's going to look the dogs bits, and I'll drag the boring black Aiwa out if I need cassette..... but obviously I'd like to succeed!!

Should have googled more... the magnet isn't spinning, so it's clicking off. Therefore I've ordered new belts from Germany and will hope that solves it.

Any other advice happily received!!
