Yamaha YP-211, vs higher end??

Thanks in advance, I have a Dual CS 1237 running though a Yamaha CR-820 and a mint Yamaha YP-211 just came up that looks to be in great shape. I like the look of it and it has a brand new cart with a Shure M91E.

Question, my current equipment isn't high end my any means but sounds very good in my opinion. Should I hold out and keep an eye out for a Thorens or better Dual or will I actually see a difference if I go with the Yamaha?

I would prob end up using both tables.

Yes.

Or better yet..hold out for a YP-D71 really good performer direct drive and they come in two different color variations. One matches the CR-820 and the other matches the CR-840.

Thanks, this is the first Yamaha I have seen in my area, not too much of them around.

The yamaha may be a better overall table. And will also be the better on the eyes imo. What is your budget for a table? There may be a fee other yamaha to look at as well.

Thanks, really don't have a budget, just too many other hobbies getting in the way. It does look like a better built table, just not a fan of all the plastic on my Dual. Wanted to make sure I wasn't going backwards quality wise seeing I'm pleased with the 1237.

Why not just replinth it? It may fit in the 1229 plinth. I know the 701, 1229,506, and several others fit the same plinth. It's a spring loaded suspension, so the plinth isn't going to be a plus or negative. It's more esthetics.
