Yamaha YP-70

Just acquired this turntable and cannot find much info on it anywhere. Price was attractive and was further supported by the fact there was an original Shure V-15 III cartridge and stylus on it.
Haven't hooked it up yet and am just looking for opinions on this turntable.
Thanks in advance

Yamaha, in general, made good tables. I can't find the appropriate picture but, I've owned enough Yamaha TTs to know they made some good stuff. The V15 is an added bonus!

Looks pretty much like my YP-701: an elegant and very underappreciated TT, not only is the deck 'sprung' relative to the plinth, but the motor is sprung relative to the rest of the deck. My only complaint is that it needs about a 1/4" spacer above the cart to get the tonearm level and the spindle is too short to make a thick TT mat an alternative.

I've checked on vinyl engine with the 70 series number and all that comes up is the 700 series. Is it possible that the 70 series was a country or region specific number? Too early to be a retail specific number I'm thinking. Apparently produced around 1975. It is not a flimsy piece. I expect it weighs around 20-25 pounds. Semi automatic, very simple controls with just a play/stop button and a counterweight. No strobe - belt driven.
Thanks for the input thus far but still hoping for more info.

If it is similar to the YP-701 then that is a very nice table. The way it's suspended, it reminds me of the Thorens/AR tables.
