Hey all,
Read some great info here on what this tt is like. I have one locally come up for sale I'm seriously considering but wanted to ask others experience with parts first.
I have a thorens td160 and parts are mostly readily available so i got new spring kit for the suspension. I can't find anywhere/anyone that does new springs for the yamaha 701?
As with the thorens i assume these lose bounce and need replacing after 50 yrs to ensure platter nice and level. How have people handled that or still rocking the original springs?
I don't want to buy one then it become an anchor coz i can't get any parts to fix it. Looks like a beautiful tt and reports are it sounds pretty good so would love to grab it.
