I'm having trouble getting the plate of the turntable to release so I can replace the belt.
I just took this baby out of storage and have not replaced a belt on this unit before. Videos I see show it just being lift up.
When I pull up from the two round finger holes, the plate feels like it's getting stuck on something metal. I can lift in only about 1mm.
I plugged in the turntable to validate that it still "works". It does start to spin the motor - there's no belt currently. I lifted the arm and swung it over into the "album ending" space and it activated the motor to shut off. I was wondering if there was a state of the gears when the table is in spin mode that keep the plate from being removed.
