Yamaha YP-B4 tonearm keeps dropping on the record and then "re-racking". It does this and definitely. Videos included.

I would check out the microswitches.
It's acting like the cut and start buttons are both stuck in the activate position.
Good microswitches are pretty cheap, but you could revive those by wet sanding the internal contacts with high grit (1200+) sandpaper and deoxit.

"I found the problem on mine was lubrication. There are two cams that pivot on a rod were sticky and not rotating. They are held on with a C-clip I removed the first C-clip and lifted the cam leaving the spring attached. Then removed the second C-clip removed that cam the same way. Put a drop of superlube on the rod and reassembled. While I was in there I lubed the rest of the parts where they touch with silicone grease."
