Yamaha YP-D6 Straight arm?

Hi AK! I just bought this YP-D6 turntable, quite minty, very happy with it, but noticed the tonearm is straight instead of S curved as the original. Could it be an alternate model or maybe it was changed? Play/Cut works perfectly to return the arm to its resting position, but it doesn't autoreturn on the end of the record. Maybe related? Thanks!

That is very odd indeed. As for lift off I'll bet it needs to be adjusted. Do you have the manual?

Hi! Yes thanks to the manual I could adjust the gear to make it work with the play/cut button. Also that levelled the plate. Rest seems sorta fine to me, though I didn't take off the lid at the bottom (not proficient enough). The tonearm seems to be an easy replacement as per manual... maybe they did want a cool straight arm..
