Yaqin VK-2100: Very first impressions

Even though this post is not very active, these amps are still going strong and the SQ is excellent. I started a dedicated thread for Yaqin in the AVS forum.
 
I had the VK-2100 and Bada DC-222 hybrids but sold them both. Gorgeous amps but decidedly more solid state than tube and they ran hotter than Georgia asphalt. I rolled all the Chinese tubes but they gave little in the way of tube warmth compared to a full tube amp.

A more practical choice and less of a compromise IMO would be a solid state amp paired with a tube preamp. A good T-amp can offer superior resolution for a lot less money.
