Just watched the movie "Only Lovers Left Alive" (highly recommended, and a kick-ass soundtrack!!...much of the movie set in Detroit) and was struck by a performance by this lovely woman.

FWIW, check out the late Ofra Haza. Incredible voice, IMHO.

A Israeli girl I went to collage with gave me a Ofra Haza CD some years ago. Was a little more 'pop' than I really cared for, but indeed she had a great voice.

As an aside, I had no idea she was no longer with us. AIDS. Damn...
