Yes! I did it. I really did it.

I bought a copy of Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass' "Whipped Cream and Other Delights" at a local thrift store. 50 cents. It was apparently owned by a music-lover; it had the inner liner replaced with a fancy plastic semi-circular shaped bag, and it didn't have a scratch on it. I gave it a bath in the sink and it's truly pristine. NM for sure.

And I'm listening to it now. Know what? I really like it! I know it's the ultimate schmaltz, the cheesiest of the cheesy. But it sounds good, man. I'm diggin' it.

Hey, a man can only listen to so much Schubert in a day before his brain starts begging for a little mind-candy.

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I'm bringing it to the next SMAC meet. HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Its a fun album. I have a couple TJB albums actually, and they really aren't bad. Its at least a diversion from the norm and so far I've yet to find one that was badly treated or badly mastered. They all seem to sound very good.

TJB brings back good memories of the 60's for me. They were also the soundtrack for The Dating Game and Beechnut Gum ads.

I remember The Dating Game. It used to be on just before Love, American Style. My parents usually would not let me watch that one, but I remember the theme song of both shows well.

Mr.Jones...are you starting to "Wig" out on us ?! First you turn down some decent speakers and now this ! Worried about you man . :D

I saw about 5 different Herb Alpert albums at the GW a few days ago, & had to stop & wonder: How many albums did they put out? :scratch2: And no, I won't look it up on the interwebs, that'd be wasting one of the great mysteries of life. :D

When you run a record label, you can put out a lot of records.
