after much head ache on what to use on my latest tt. i finally found suitable material for its feet. hopefully they wont transfer vibrations thru to the needle. i cut the pieces as straight as i could. tho they could be straighter if i used the proper tool for it.:banana:

fellow aker sa-708 was generous enough to send a needle as the one that came with this one got bent. then when i went about to straighten it. it squished. im sure the thread was cause for some derision. or some such.:D

still anticipating the needle so i cant comment on how these feet perform.:scratch2:

hehe, enjoy the pics

There I did it.

Seriously...I like your ingenuity. :thmbsp:

Get some veneer, aluminum tape, die or maybe even food coloring if you want to change the color, otherwise LOL !!!!!!

the stuff was at a gs among kids stuff. all of 25 cents. kind of over priced i think. but thats ok. sure fits the bill. ill find out the long gevity of the foam pieces. i think ill use duct tape for now to match up the color. but its at my sisters place. i used the original screws. without the rubber piec. need to find a way to use the rubber end piece with the setup.

I don't think it's dumb at all. That's a pretty good, cost-effective idea for TT feet.

I like your ingenuity!

The orange gives it that retro look.

"Burnt orange sonic stabilizers, give your turntable warm sound with an orange glow", sell them on Ebay for $250 a set.:deal:

When I saw who posted this thread I laughed before I even read it. :D

Very ingenius. Now have you gotten the turntable to work?

hehe,i thought about using such a title of course worded differently. at one time i was using some small lego blocks to angle up some small speakers for center channel. i thought of it as using advanced sound enhancers and posting it but never got around to it.

im still waiting for the needle to arrive. thanks go to sa 708 for supplying the needle. im sure it will be another thread starter to get it calibrated as i dont have hte manual. sa 708 included some instructions in the packaging and my ps3 is unable to read pdf files. which sucks big time.

Can't you download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader? It's free.

Also, when it comes time to install and align the stylus/cartridge, if you have trouble, please be patient and wait for answers. :)

first ? i have tried that many times. unsupported browser or unable to upgrade without sony supplying the upgrade.

2nd ? yes this time i will be more patient. i was kinda stressed the last time. and it showed in how impatient i was. i smile thinking back to it.:nono:

ive got an 1/8th of a can left.......

Why not just spray paint them? I bet semi-gloss black would look pretty nice.

maybe i can do a black and orange camo deal i wont say why i had some lying around...you wont believe me if i did.:D

now that i think about it. there is some room for tweeking it by slicing the bottom part of it. but its gotta wait till the needle gets here, patients, patients....

We have some blue and green Funnoodles out in the garage. They should hold up well, ours are 7 years old and have not deteriorated (and get used in the water a lot).
