you guys ever find yourself actually in love with your speaker

being in love to the point as if anything would happen you would cry. i think the wife gets jelous of my epicure 3.0's. if anyone is lucky enough to get to even hear these legends its definatly a expierience. its amazing how accurate and dynamic they are. and if you wanted to you could listen to them at several hundred watts a chan all day long and not hurt them. one thing will be the lack of bass what some people would say but thats only if its the music when you have material that calls for it you will get it. i just wicked what a speaker system like this can accomplish. i would put my epicure 3.0 speakers up against anything out there and not have to worry about to add subs while doing it. anyone else has a speaker system like this to them that they would put over everything else and cry if they lost.

I have yet to meet a speaker i couldn't live without.

After all, in a proper working, high sound quality audio system they(speakers) are the most inaccurate, highest distortion producing link in the audio chain.

To discriminating ears, even the best speaker in the world still has room for audible improvement.
 
I have half a dozen sets, any of which would be satisfactory for the rest of my life. It's been fun refoaming and fixing them up, but they're all good enough.
 
There are speakers I have that I like, a lot, speakers I've heard that I lust for, but I don't guess I've ever fallen in love with a speaker...and forget about the sexual remarks! :D
 
no, but listening to Sarah McLachlan's Angel, Eva Cassidy's version of Fields of Gold, The Wailin Jennys' version of Bring me l'il Water, Silvy and Calling All Angels, and Patty Larkin's I Told Him that my Dog Wouldn't Run and Me and that Train on 'em frequently moves me to tears.

I own very very few posessions that if I lost would devistate me. The ones that matter could never be replaced since they came from family.

None of my speakers came from family..
 
I just finished designing and assembling a pair of high-end mini-monitors which have become my new love. One way to tell, is you find yourself going back thru your music library and listening to everything all over again. :yes: :D
