Arrrrgh... too many to choose from. I'm leaving a bunch out....I just know it.....

Anything Ellington or Basie. Louie Armstrong is number one. Jack Teagarden second as soloists, then Mel Torme, Sammy Davis with Frank thrown in there some where. One of my favorites was Chuck Sagle and the other Enoch Light when he isn't playing ping pong while recording Big Bands. Tony Mattolla and heaven forbid, Buddy Rich. Woody and the Herd could make you dance all night. Stan Kenton could be great or to far out with his augmented cords structures. Al Hirt and Pete fountain were just fun playing together.

Lady Ella Fitzgerald's "Songbook Series" is essential listening regarding the canon that is American Jazz Standards.

Listening to the group "Standards" with Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock, and Jack DeJohnette. They play standards.

Not sure all these would be considered standards,if not they should be,:beatnik:
Favorites is also a term hard for me to define, depends on the mood time of day and other factors.
My favorites list might be different tomorrow. o_O So here's a few I can always dig.

Summertime - Louis & Ella from the Porgy and Bess album
Fine and Mellow - Billie Holiday from Lady in Satin
Ahmad's blues - Ahmad Jamal
Take Five - Dave Brubeck from Time Out
Moanin' - Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers
Mercy, Mercy, Mercy - Cannonball Adderley Quintet
Song for My Father - Horace Silver Quintet
Killer Joe - Quincy Jones from Walking in Space
Watermelon Man - Herbie Hancock Takin' Off
The 'In' Crowd - Ramsey Lewis Trio

Jazz standards, by definition, get played a lot and recorded a lot, and there will never be "best" performances of them. But there are often agreed-upon classic recordings, ones that are so well known that just about anyone who records a tune will be familiar with some of those classic recordings. You might want to have a look at the following site:

I'm bad with names, but I know what I like. I like jazz thats coherent, everyone playing a piece of a composition. I don't like jazz that sounds like 10 guys in a room playing different songs. I have one of those on right now. Coltrane - Free Jazz. It just happens to be on this side of the record that I stuck on.
