Your Guilty Pleasure Films

Although I've lost my video tape copy of this one long, long ago, it is probably the guiltiest of all my pleasures...

Caligula: Malcolm McDowell, Peter O'Toole, Helen Mirren

While serving in the Navy a few of us saw it in the theater in the early eighties, uncut. Incredible!

S.J.

whoo boy, that "butt shot" of Dame Mirren was rather nice. What a woman.

Fargo
No Country for old men
All of the Hitchcocks
Those are all GOOD movies and I'd be proud to let it be known that I have watched them.! I thought "guilty pleasures" were supposed to be movies that you're ashamed to be caught watching.

If I'm flipping channels and I see Weekend At Bernie's, I always watch from that point until the end.
Guilty as charged!

Down Periscope.
Prometheus - Just to watch the derelict roll over Charlize Theron.
Flim-Flam man.
Support your Local Sheriff.
Emperor of the North

Blood Sport - acting that is so bad its good, but some of the fight scenes make up for it. Also no actual proof other that Frank Dux's word that any of his claims are actually true (please don't beat me up though Mr Dux!)

Dead Or Alive - based on a video game, but seeing some scantily-clad ladies (for example, Hollie Valance!) gyrating around is great.....

She's Out Of My League - essentially a 'Chick-flick' but I had a pirate of it and really enjoyed it, so bought the Blueray on eBay so I wasn't seen buying it in a shop lol

Aeon Flux - the Charlize Theron in black leather really works for me!

I am sure there are many others, but as long as you enjoy them, who cares?

The rookie would be my favorite Clint Eastwood b movie.. had a young charlie sheen too.

Every which way but loose was amazing, but it's not what I'd call a guilty pleasure, rather just a great film.

To me "guilty pleasure" means cheese-ball but great cheese-ball. During this era I lived for a while at Sea Gate (Coney Island) and later in Bay Ridge. So this movie is so awesome.

loopstick, after years of hearing about it, I caught this film on Netflix.

Yeah, it's dated, and campy, but I was so tickled to FINALLY know what Mystic's avatar was about.

WARRIORS! ....Come out to playyyyaaayyy!!! :jump:

I saw this in the theaters , HS years???, when it came out. It made us glad we did not live in these types of sheet-hole neighborhoods. :D

Reading earlier of Charlize Theron in Prometheus reminds of the scene in Cider House Rules when Tobey Maguire walks in and she's lying on the bed. She's still gorgeous today but this scene is from 1999.

A million ways to die in the West.
Blazing Saddles by Seth McFarland, tho Mel Brooks' BS and Young Frankenstein belong on the list, add Spaceballs (they're all assholes).

Didn't Charlize debut in some other movie...Lord, I will have to use my google-fu...

2 Days in the Valley. Yeah, that movie. She's pretty nude in it, if I remember correctly. My college buddy was so smitten with her. Had nearly forgotten that film.

Don't know that I've seen Two Days in A Valley. Will have to find it. She was 24 when Cider House Rules came out. Allmovie reads Both Two Days in A Valley and That Thing You Do came out '96. Just 21 at the time. Awesome! Her first film, according to Allmovie, is Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest (1994). Haven't seen this one either. She's a 'guilty pleasure' in anything, even more so scantily clad. Don't get me started on Scarlett.

Age of Ultron, the saving grace in a rather tedious outing -

Always liked "Up The Academy" ... was it the music, 80's humor, memories of good period of years in my life :dunno:

But it was always a guilty pleasure movie for me. Say it again, say it again, say it again.
