4,400-4,600 sold. Sounds about right. Nice summer night under the stars. Heat was turned down. They went right up to the hard cut at 10. Not a heavy drinking night.

Garcia Birthday Band - 2 sets

197 souls through the front door. Normally these shows sell out at 300 a night. They are doing 3 shows for us this week as part of the 80th birthday celebration for Jerry Garcia. AC was working tonight.

We were told 4,000. More like 6,500 biggest show of the year so far. Huge lines for everything. They are local, so the big turn-out. Another really hot night. We don't get many breaks on the weather this summer.

Sold out, around 5,900. Most were under 21 so zilch on the alcohol sales. Where do I get these wasted 7 hours back in my life? Her music and antics aren't my thing. She used house lights and sound, not ready for a tour of venues this size.

Edit: She never said a thing to the audience. Not hello, goodbye, thanks, nothing.

Edit2: Some of my co-workers did say she said thanks. I didn't hear it.

A freind of my Jim Fox just informed me that the James Gang will be hitting the road again to do a few shows with the foo fighters ! Not only is he a great drummer but as a cool person ! The shows are a bennifet for the Foo Fighters drummer that passed earlier this year ,

Edit: I've got to add a thanks to the sound crew for the songs before, and during intermission for the great classic rock selections they chose. Both nights.

Little Feat and Hot Tuna last night at the United Artists theater on Broadway in downtown L.A. 1600 seats.

Well done despite some big holes in the line up, Lowell George, Paul Barrere and Richie Hayward amongst others. Jack Casady and Jorma sat in with the band, that was a particular treat. Jack still has those prehensile eyebrows tho they're a little gray. Jorma can still howl with the best of them.

It was in celebration of 45th Anniversary of the 'Waiting For Columbus' tour. Saw the original recorded at Lisner Auditorium in DC. This time I had much better seats and a room in the hotel. (grin)

3200+ sold. Heat was back around 96 and humid. Last show of their summer tour. Coheed had some awesome lights. Off tomorrow and two sell outs coming up. Hopefully cooler. The only option for staff we have for a cooling station is a freezer trailer full of ice with no lights for after dark. When I worked Ravinia we had one public space and two employee spaces.

3,900+ tickets sold. Seemed like a lot less, no massive lines. Another nice summer night. This was the Portland stop for the Here And There Festival by Courtney Barnett. They have different artists at most shows. Setlists later and more comments about Fred Armisen. Really a nice laid back crowd tonight.

Edit: Not sure about Armisen. Not well rehearsed, sort of a mumble jumbo of crap. He butchered Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son that was playing on his Ipod. He had 30 minutes and was done after 23. The others all had 45 minute sets.

Richie Kotzen - Arcada Theater, St. Charles IL, 8-21-22 - absolutely superb show. Richie’s such an amazing singer and songwriter, and truly one of the best guitar players of all time.
