Your Last Concert (or two)

Strangeband

AK Member and Ale Monger
I've seen a couple of threads developed for your first concert, but could not recall one for your most recent concert. So, the last one was

Ryan Adams and the Cardinals on March 20, Fox Theater. My wife and I saw what was supposedly their final show.

Before that it was the Pogues at The Tabernacle on March 9, where I had the pleasure of running into Tentoze.

My last two concerts were both Chicago Symphony Orchestra concerts that I attended with my buddy Ed (ekmanning5)!

Eastern Bloc on March 14th. (jazz)
Jorma Kaukonen on March 22nd. (excellent show)

Upcoming schedule (already have tickets for these):

Sonny Fortune - April 17th
The Gourds - April 29th
Asleep At The Wheel - May 12th
Robin Trower - June 21st
John Jorgenson Quintet - July 11th
Sonny Landreth - July 24th

Yup, The Pogues kicked ass in ATL. Before that, was John Prine at the Florida Theater right here in downtown Gomerville.

Last 2 & next 2

Sarah Brightman - Gwinnett Center north of ATL

Kate Campbell - Private event in Greenwood SC

upcoming

John Anderson - benefit show for Firefighters Association - Charlotte

Turandot - Charlotte

Rain -- A Beatles tribute band (wife wanted to go). Before that... probably Pat Benetar -- she still looked and sounded good.

Last concert was Ruthie Foster, Robben Ford, & Jorma Kaukonen.
Next is either Opeth or Tarja Turunen, would have to check.

David Allan Coe and Blackberry Smoke at the roughest honkytonk I've ever been to. An actual Hollywood-style barfight broke out and Coe never quit playing, though he did change a line in the song he was singing to mention "a**holes in the crowd." It was awesome. Going back next Friday to see Blackberry Smoke again. Great Southern Rock band.

Before that, my favorite, AC/DC.

Kind of remote up here, so we don't get much, especially in winter ...

But, I recently did get to see Todd Snider and before that an up and coming band from Austin called The Band of Heathens, who were GREAT live. They played 3 hours non-stop and people still didn't want to leave.
