Analogue "AAA" vinyl.
Did a search and came up empty, so i thought "Why not?" and start one.
This the yang to the lp thread. Or the zag....however you want to put it.

Very stoked to score a few rare CD's i'll never afford original NM- vinyl copies of:

Cool, I'll be contributing. A ton of great stuff in that photo there. Is that Mellow Candle disc a recent remaster? I saw a white vinyl reissue copy about a year ago for $40 which I should have grabbed.

Why i believe so, yes! Looking forward to your contributions.

Another recent haul of rare titles on CD. When given a choice between a $30or more nu-vinyl reissue
and a $12-$15 CD, i always pick the CD. Why? QC on many vinyl reissues is sorely lacking.
Not to mention most (if not all) are pressed from digital masters, so why bother with that?
Makes no sense to me. Your opinion may vary....

I agree that a lot of recently reissued vinyl has quality control issues, I've been there more than enough times. However, I've always felt that when you compare a new release on CD to the vinyl counterpart, the vinyl version almost always sounds better despite coming from a digital master. There could be a lot of reasons for this, we've talked about it in the turntable forum a lot in the past.

So where are you getting all these CDs from?

It's all subjective, isn't it. heh. I guess i'm like the no tone control Nazi freaks but with proper 100% analogue "AAA" vinyl provenances instead. You don't choose your obsessions, your obsessions choose you maybe? Anyways....

I get most of the rarer stuff on ebay (when they are deals and there are deals!), the local used bins and a few other Ma 'n Pop specialty type online vendors. Just got another haul coming in prolly after Turkey Day.

I remember reading that Lemmy roadied for The Nice at one time.

The digital camera is unavail at this time, possibly returning this weekend. Yes, i got new CD haul, but too lazy to type it.

Sorry-never heard of most of them. I know The Nice is pre-E.L.O. Do know the classical music though. Picked up the first New Riders Of The Purple Sage C.D. for $1.99 at G.W. today. And a 2-C.D. Dave Clark Five collection.

I got Boston "Rock and Roll Band" today at GW @ $1.25
I never saw this cd/album before.

Tracks -More than a Feeling, Rock & Roll bad, Smokin',Hitch a Ride and more.

Got these for Christmas, up my request of course. Straight from the Tacet label in Germany, volumes 3 and 10 of their 14 volume series of Haydn's complete string quartets:
