Your thoughts on Denon PMA 360?

Yesterday one person came in to exchange a Denon PMA 360 with my Nikko TRM-400s amplifier. Without a second thought i went in for a exchange because i owned a denon pma 300v sometime back. This one also sounds similar, sometimes i feel like this sounds better than pma 300.

I searched the online for a review or any user experience stuff but i was only be able to find some ads and hifiengine entry.

Anyone else in here uses a Denon PMA 360?

What are your thoughts about it?

It would appear so! Looks nice&clean, not to fancy not to shabby. And only one of those mechanically attached selector switches. They appear just about unavoidable in Denon, Yamaha etc gear of that era. Might just sound pretty good on a pair of efficient mid-sized speakers. Be sure to try out the phone stage!

Looks like a pretty decent 60W/8R amp with good components. Easy to service/upgrade if necessary. Does it come with a toroid transformer? Why not?

I think so. It is being covered by a cylindrical housing which resemble such transformers. Sounds pretty good for what it is. I am glad i took the exchange, gave the Nikko in exchange of this.

Tomorrow i will definitely try out the phono stage. At the moment it is paired with my "Hans G hennel" "summit" vintage speakers. I feel like it driving them pretty well. Sounds great, especially on those female vocal jazz songs.

Here is a little update....! This is especially for anyone who is thinking of matching an amplifier to their old vintage (antique) full-range speaker. Denon PMA-360 is a good match, I hooked it up to my Philips AD1255/M7 and it sounds superb!
